Be sure to look near all doors in case you miss each other. The interpreter will wait outside of the classroom, near the classroom entrance. School related functions for which you may need an interpreter require that a written request be submitted to the SdRC office five (5) working days in advance (or as soon as possible). If the meeting will be longer than 30 minutes, contact the SdRC office and arrange for an interpreter at an agreed-upon time. ![]() If you have an immediate need to meet with your instructor and your interpreter has the time, and the meeting is no longer than 30 minutes, then you do not need to notify the SdRC office until after the meeting. Your classroom interpreter is scheduled to work only during the time your class meets. As soon as you know your next semester schedule, go immediately to the SdRC office and submit a copy. It is your responsibility to follow the procedures to receive services through the SdRC office.Īll requests for interpreters must be made as soon as possible.
